Timbur is Futurewood

Founded by Ezra Ardolino, Timbur fabricates sculptural furniture, lighting, and architectural elements using CNC and robotic tools. From collectible design objects to custom commissions, everything we make is grounded in technology, craft, and material innovation.

At the core of our practice is Futurewood, a process that transforms stacked plywood into fluid, contoured form. It bridges the divide between information and materiality.

Our studio has worked with global brands, artists, and architects including Daniel Arsham, Kith, Uniqlo, Sol de Janeiro, Miaou, Watches of Switzerland, and the Bjarke Ingels Group.

Pride Bench, 2023

A one-of-one Futurewood bench built in eight tubular sections, each finished in a color from the Pride spectrum. Auctioned on Instagram during Pride Month, the proceeds were donated to The Trevor Project, supporting LGBTQ youth. A simple gesture in form, made with purpose.

Design Miami, 2021

Our debut at Design Miami, presented by Tuleste Factory, featured a collection of Futurewood originals alongside new one-offs, including the Bubble Console and Fresnel Credenza. This series marked the first public appearance of our sculptural forms in a fair setting. Resin works shown were by Quincy Ellis of Facture Studio.

Stool for Daniel Arsham, 2020

A Futurewood stool finished in Arsham Green, gifted to Daniel Arsham at the start of our working relationship. This one-off was the first Timbur piece to leave the studio and quietly became a fixture in his posts, his studio, and even his home, appearing in Architectural Digest and alongside some of his major works. An early signal of what Futurewood would become.
